DIVE COACHING

LESSONS FROM THE DEEP

LESSONS FROM THE

DEEP

“THE BEST WAY TO OBSERVE A FISH IS TO BECOME A FISH.”

– Jacques Cousteau

Great coaching dives deep into the ocean of beliefs that hold us back; this is literally what happens in “Lessons from the Deep.”

Lessons from the Deep (LFD) forges a life-changing experience of personal and leadership development by combining scuba diving with coaching. It is the first and only program of its kind that offers participants the opportunity to expand possibilities in their life above water as they expand what’s possible underwater.

Co-created and led by coaches Ellen Fulton and Eric Woodard, LFD experiences are built around the unique goals and perspectives brought forward by each new cohort of participants (as well as what we happen to encounter underwater during a particular program). Participants are the curriculum. Therefore, no two LFD experiences are ever the same.

“THE CURE FOR ANYTHING IS SALT WATER: SWEAT, TEARS, OR THE SEA.”

– Karen Blixen

During the program LFD participants engage virtually in both group and one-on-one coaching while simultaneously learning dive theory through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Open Water Diver online course. Every LFD program culminates with the cohort convening for an in-person live dive coaching experience. Participants leave the program as certified PADI Open Water Divers and most importantly, the possibility of life-changing transformation.

“EVERY TIME I SLIP INTO THE OCEAN, IT’S LIKE GOING HOME.”

– Sylvia Earle

What if I can’t make one of the scheduled coaching call dates?

Participants are allowed to miss no more than 1 of the 6 group coaching calls with the agreement that they will watch the replay of any calls missed.

What does the program fee include?

The LFD registration fee includes all coaching, diving fees, scuba gear rental, boat fees, scuba certification, plus lunch on our final days in person!

How do I get to Aruba?

Participants are responsible for all travel to/from the Aruba Renaissance Wind Creek.

Where will I stay in Aruba?

Participants are responsible for providing their own overnight accommodations in Aruba. Because so much of our program will be at the host resort, we strongly recommend participants stay there. More details about our host resort location will be forthcoming.

Do I need to rent a car in Aruba?

Not really; once you’re at the resort we’ll have everything covered from there. Taxis going to/from the airport work fine.

What do I need to provide for the diving stuff?

Other than comfortable swimwear, sunblock, towel, sunglasses, and anything else you might want on a trip to the beach, participants are responsible for bringing their own mask, fins, snorkel, and boots. We can make recommendations about what to get before our diving days.

Can I bring my family with me to Aruba while I participate in the program?

Sure! So long as you’re willing/able to give full focus to the program while it’s in session. We chose this site with family members in mind; there are lots of things for family members to do while you’re with us.

What’s the earliest I can leave Aruba after the program?

There are special considerations related to flying after diving that mean, in general, no flying and diving on the same day. However, any flights happening the day after our program concludes are ok.

What if I’m already scuba certified?

Then you already know how awesome diving is! You are still very welcome to join this program; consider the O/W course a refresher.

Are there any cancellations/refunds/postponements?

Because LFD offers spaces for a limited number of participants and many aspects of the program need to be paid in advance, the registration fee for this event is non-refundable.

Exceptions may be made in cases where participants have a medical reason they cannot dive or natural events prevent the program from proceeding as planned.

WHAT IF I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS?

Let’s talk! Find a time for us to do that.

Schedule a complimentary call with me (Zoom, confidential, no strings attached).

We’ll use this time to explore what is possible for you. Plan for an hour.
